Make SJ your NO.1 choice for a CCA and enjoy the benefits which many have experienced over the years!
We go for camps where we teach you important skills, such as map reading and field cooking, which will prepare you for any circumstances. Sometimes these camps are held outside school and with other CCAs or schools.
In 2008, we had a NPCC-SJAB combined camp where we strengthened bonds between two CCAs. Last year, our sec 4s went for a camp with other schools such as Maris Stella High, Catholic high and Hai Sing Catholic.
We ensure you an A1 for your CCA! All our graduating members have already clinched an A1 for their CCA and many are on their way to achieving the same grade. With the grade, you will have a better chance of going to the institute of your choice.
We also help to gain your CIP hours by going for public duties which are essential for university admission.
We organise overseas trips which are heavily subsidised so that everyone has an opportunity to venture out of the country with their friends.
No other CCA in the school teaches you first aid, a significant skill which many take for granted. Your knowledge may save the life of others. If you went for first aid courses elsewhere, you may have to pay a sum of money but if you join us, you'll get to learn it for FREE.
We are the CCA with the most trophies which currently counts up to around 70 trophies!
We want our members to be all-rounders, therefore we send them for courses such as canoeing, archery, air rifle, crime prevention and fire fighting courses. We also send them for soccer matches where we get to compete with other schools and make new friends.
The best thing about SJAB is that you will get to make new friends which will stay with you throughout the years even after you graduate.
SJAB understands and cares for its members. They would release the members 2 weeks before their exams so that they can have sufficient time for revision.
We also go for several outings so that the members can relax and distress. We recently had an outing to sentosa where we soaked ourselves in the sun and water.
With so many benefits and advantages, its hard to say no to SJ.
